(r)Evolutionary Woman™

(r)Evolutionary Times...this is a time of (r)E-Engineering, (r)E-Purposing, (r)E-Branding and (r)E-Invention of (r)Ebecca E. Parsons…

the past 18 months have been a time of great growth–professionally and spiritually...the journey I am on is amazing…truly a life-changing transition... the story of my path and the path is leading is below:

(r)Evelation...

"Circumstance does not make a woman, it reveals her to herself," paraphrased James Allen from As a Man Thinketh.

The circumstances of my life this past few years have (r)Evealed much to me...I have grown as a woman into my own place of freedom. The best part was uncovering the freedom to live an emotionally authentic life...my life lesson.

The unveiling of my new business platform – (r)Evolutionary Women is a (r)E-Branding which is a direct result of my stepping into my life purpose...embracing who I am fully and (r)Everently...and stumbling headlong down the path with joy and wild abandon!!!

It started with a significant (r)Evelation...

The (r)Evelation... a trusted friend told me that I am a Visionary Spiritual Leader, Mentor and Healer with a Big (global) Job to Do, who has a life purpose of leading the transition of women entrepreneurs into The Age of Aquarius.

The world is indeed going through a cleansing process...and no place will this cleansing be more evident than in the world of business! We no longer trust big corporations balance sheets nor the executives who approved them. We see jobs disappearing and finances crumbling as a result of the virtual business model and greed of the past few decades.

It is time for a change. It is time for new thinking. It is time to restructure the way we work and feel about working. Small businesses will use this transition period to reshape and re-engineer the very foundation of our economic structure.

I believe that now, more than ever before, women are poised to lead these small businesses with an inherent skill and a pioneering spirit I call the (r)Evolutionary Women.

The Vision:

1) Women Entrepreneurs Stabilizing our Economy,

2) Women Entrepreneurs Reinventing How Business is Done, and

3) Women Entrepreneurs Living Fully in Their Spirituality.

You might say, “This is a really BIG Vision.” And I would agree. I will soon launch an opt-in website for (r)Evolutionary Women leading eventually to a radio talk show, a membership site, books, courses, etc.

So what is a (r)Evolutionary Women, and why am I prepared/able/willing to help YOU become one?

With the creation of (r)Evolutionary Women I am stepping boldly into my purpose...my soul purpose...and sometimes I have to pinch myself as I take step after faltering step into what I am called to do...I call that a (r)Evolutionary Woman thing to do...for I am evolving big time...

The (r)Evolution of (r)Ebecca...

Over the past several decades I have created a business honoring my soul, my values and my vision. I stand firmly in the knowing that life and business are never really separate…so you will see that my approach to mentoring is holistic taking care of every part of you–spiritual, physical, emotional, social, intellectual, creative and material. This is the basis for my Lifestyle Business model.

I have a lot of business knowledge to give women, especially spiritual women business owners. I have been mentoring people for the past 15 years, usually on a one-to-one basis. I have helped them build wildly successful businesses doing what they love.

I keep talking about my path and journey, so you will understand the process I went through to get where I am today. And the Evolution Revolution I experienced and the twists and turns I took to get to today…and the knowledge I have acquired along the way.

Learning to embrace fully the creative part of me has always been easy–apiece of cake. When I was struggling to make money doing what I love, I made the conscious decision to become an expert in business management and practices. The student of all things business related became my addiction of choice. And that addiction propelled me into expert status. With that hard-won expertise, I have helped thousands of people learn to be skilled entrepreneurs.

But too much of anything can be just that…too much! I realized I was spending so much time building my business muscles that other areas of my life began to atrophy. And when a good thing crosses into addiction, you have to (re)Group big-time.

I began to search for balance in my life and my business and gradually my business evolved into a lifestyle business–one that supports who I am, honors my way of life, and aligns my passion with my purpose.

About a decade ago, having mastered the creative and business paths of my life’s journey, I felt the stirrings of something else. Something that had always been an important part of my life and who I am…my foundation–my spirituality.

My spirituality has always been a part of how I operated my businesses because it could never be separated from the me I am. Although I never had the courage to verbalize it, my spiritual self managed to come across in my books, articles, speeches and teaching. People were coming to me to learn art making and/or business, and leaving with life-altering breakthroughs. These are typical responses of my students:

“I came to learn how to be a faux finisher, but Rebecca changed my life. She taught me how to value myself as a woman and honor the talent I have, plus so much more.”

“I still have my rock from your speech a few years ago.” (He takes a rock from his pocket and shows me) “That day was a turning point in my life and my business. I learned that I could charge what I needed to charge and not feel guilty about it. My wife and family call you our angel.”

“I was getting a divorce and was so depressed and afraid when I met Rebecca. The three days I spent with her mentoring, teaching and befriending me changed my perception, my life and my soul. I was able to reinvent myself and create a thriving business doing what I love. Thank you Rebecca from the bottom of my heart.”

So I began integrating the spiritual, creative and the business parts of me to form a new business model. I learned three life-changing things in the past few years:

  1. My Life Purpose is…Visionary Spiritual Leader, Mentor and Healer with a Big (global) Job to Do. This means I am here to create new groundbreaking ideas and be a spiritual leader, mentor and healer on a massive scale.
  2. My Life School is Love and Service. This means I am here to develop my ability to love myself and others while staying present with my feelings no matter the circumstance; not to stuff my emotions, withdraw or go out of control. I am also here to develop my ability to be in service consciousness while I learn to serve joyfully without an agenda; to help, not control; to service others without neglecting myself.
  3. My Life Lesson is emotional authenticity and self-sacrifice. This means I must open my heart, feel the feelings and embrace fully all aspects of my personality while learning to nurture without burdensome obligation, self-sacrifice, self-indulgence or selfishness.

It was in attending this life school and doing the work of the life lessons that I became an (r)Evolutionary Woman™. Because I have clarity of my purpose, my life and my business have blossomed beyond my wildest dreams. Now I and comfortable to live amongst this ability to build a life while serving others and guiltlessly making money doing what I love.

This all brings me to the launch of my new business venture…

(r)Evolutionary Women

At this time, because of circumstances and my search for a way to re-engineer my life and bring my business fully online, I have decided to trust the universe that, along with the idea...it is inherent within me the ability too create it!!! you are never given an idea without the knowledge to manifest it..

So I walk in belief and trust...and I recall that wonderful quote from Napoleon Hill...

Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are children of your soul, the (very) blueprint of your ultimate accomplishments.

This (r)Evolutionary journey I find myself on is a transition of major importance…to my life and my career. Of this I am sure. It has been awkward and painful while enlightening and strengthening…I cannot explain it quite yet, but I know it is about growth into my spiritual maturity.

So as I step into my vision and dreams...I invite you to join in the (r)Evolution...

here is a sneak peek at the (r)E Women blog...

what in the world is going on???

In a Feb. 2007 article by Herbert Meyer entitled What in the World is Going On? there are some profound statements:

"We are coming to the end of the age of employer and employee. Employers can't guarantee jobs anymore because they don't know what their companies will look like next year. Everyone is on their way to becoming an independent contractor. The new workforce contract will be: Show up at my office five days a week and do what I want, but handle your own insurance, benefits and health care. This used to happen only with highly educated professionals. Now it is happening at the level of the factory floor worker."

"This fracturing of American business is now in its second generation."

"This has several implications, the first of which is that we are now getting false readings on the economy."

"Outsourcing also confused the numbers."

Obviously something has confused the numbers and the corporations and the nation...

We must ask ourselves, "Can we possibly trust the same people that got us into this economic mess to get us out of it?"

I do not believe we can...

Our world is indeed going through a cleansing process...and no place will this cleansing be more evident than in the world of business!

I believe that now, more than ever before, women are poised to lead these small businesses with an inherent skill and a pioneering spirit I call the (r)Evolutionary Woman.

your heart's passion...

passion is the life blood flowing forth from you to connect to the world...

what is your burning desire...

what keeps you up late into the night without regard to time or space...

what fuels your soul?

You must be able to passionately describe your vision. You must have a fire burning inside you. You must be driven by your dream. I received this question from a former coaching student. The following is the question and my answer...it describes my feeling about passion...

I am a fan ... read you in the The Faux Finisher all the time ... you have the life I should have had ... and hope to have something similar soon ... thank you for your inspiration and your advice ... M

M:

Thank you for your kind words. I pray that your dreams come true soon. You can always start part-time while doing another job. I did!! It takes patience, but is worth it in the end. If you have a passion for painting and believe in your skills, you can do what you love every day...I promise.

To help you do this, I will share a Secret Plan to reorienting your life around your passion. This is actually a session from my Mini Business Workshop. The plan begins with passion and leads to success.

The first step in the plan—
starting from the heart and discovering your passion—by identifying your dreams. Start from any other source and you set yourself up for frustration and regret. Fulfillment comes only when the results you seek and the activities you embrace are in accordance with the person you are. You cannot look to reason or judgment for insights into your soul. Who you are is what’s in your heart.

Make A Decision, Make A Commitment

You have probably thought and dreamed about having your own business for years. All too often people convince themselves that you could not succeed. You fail to
make the DECISION TO GO FOR IT.

This is the simplest step to take for your future, but many people fail to take it and live their lives with regrets. Just decide that you are going to go for it and make a commitment to make this goal a reality. It’s that simple! Do you know how many great artists are working jobs that they hate, dreaming of something else, but refusing to take this one step?
It costs nothing to decide. Commitment is free. You are limiting yourself. Why?

You must be able to
passionately describe your vision. You must have a fire burning inside you. You must be driven by your dream.

My second little secret to achieving your goals is
writing them down. Take a sheet of paper and write the following - "I must be a decorative painter and I am committed to making this a reality." That is all you need to do now. You have taken the first step toward your dream, you have put it on paper. Now your brain can start working on how to achieve it. I am proud of you.

After you come to terms with your Dream, it is time for reasoning and rationalizing. You must clarify your purpose and define your actions—you need to think. Because the world can often dissuade you from pursuing your passion by presenting roadblocks. You must pursue it with forethought and care.
Careful and thoughtful planning can help you define a purpose and set a strategy for following your Dream. This is our Business Plan

Once you have felt you passion and thought it through,
it is time to act. Equipped with both your passion and your plan, you will begin to make changes in your life. This is Taking Care of Business.

If you remain true to your passion and follow these steps, you will find the results you seek. And you will also reap rewards you never anticipated because passion can take you to another level of living. It can open worlds and expand horizons. It can bring new awareness and heightened perceptions. It can empower and improve. Your idea of Success may change as you begin to fulfill your potential, but your passion will propel you onward to even greater achievement and happiness.

so what point am i trying to make with this? last night i spoke with one of my mentors. He asked me about my new business model and asked me to describe it. I faltered at first and then went on to describe 2 or 3 business models i am trying to marry... He listened and then said, "Rebecca, you have a track record and an established brand with the Doing What You Love. You have credibility and name recognition, why do you want to change that?"

this was written about me a few years ago:
A master decorative painter, widely-read columnist, popular motivational speaker and instructor, Rebecca E. Parsons has spent over 30 years honing her craft. For the past fifteen years she has been advising, mentoring, and consulting creative entrepreneurs worldwide. Her knowledge of the business and her passion for successful entrepreneurship have made her the industry’s most recognized advocates for business success. Her book “Do What You Love–Love What You Do, The Step–by–Step Guide to Creative Business,” is hailed as the best business guide on the market.
so i am wondering why i have lack of clarity and focus at this time...i need to follow my own advice and teaching...i opened my book this morning searching for the passages about passion and realized i need to sit down and read my own book!!! and do what i have always told students to do -- ACT!!!

change orchestrated by the soul...

this will chnge your life...

Neale Donald Walsh in the 7/3/09 I believe God wants you to know...

....that it could seem like you are losing something right now, but do not be fooled. This is simply a turnaround orchestrated by your soul.

Even before this, you were. And even after all this passes away, you shall be. All the Rest Of It is stuff and nonsense. The accoutrement. The flora and fauna. Pretty, perhaps. Shiny and sparkling, perhaps. But having nothing to do with anything.

Let it go. Release it. If it was not supposed to be removing itself from you now, it would not be doing so. It will never return to you in this exact form, and it is not intended to. If it returns at all, it will be in a higher form. That is the purpose of its leaving. All of life only improves itself. It can't do anything else. This is called evolution. Trust it. And now, smile. Tomorrow is coming! Tomorrow is coming!

believe...be

Lord, let my BeLieF override any fear I confront today.
"But, ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, 'Do not fear, only believe.'" -Mark 5:36

only believe...even when waves of fear begin to erode your belief...stand firm

for when the wave retreats...

you can just...

BE

i was inspired to write in the sand this morning...i wrote Believe with a shell as my pen...a few minutes later a wave came and washed over most of the word as you see in the second photo...after i snapped it i walked on, down the beach...when i returned after my walk i found this "Be" still there...

of course i believe it was a message for me to simply just Be...

along comes David Neagle's newsletter...

the universe does indeed send you what you need...you know i had a BELIEF aha moment on saturday...since then i have been given many messages to help that process along...this is today's...
The Power of Belief To Transform Your Experience
David NeagleI just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on their dream. A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire for their future. Unfortunately, they didn't keep their mental doors locked ... and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the pursuit of their dream. All failure begins this way. People may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure. Being unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people, they fall victim to its seduction. Take a look at what happens and how this process works: 1. We all have two parts in our thinking: One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might not ever happen. This is where most people start out. 2. Next, something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success, they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem is many individuals are not open to growth and change.) 3. Their subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing anything "new". This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure. It is at this point in a person's journey where moving forward becomes too painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay "safe". The truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for! You see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world, which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality, you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception. Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your dreams. In other words, your experiences reflect your belief system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don't want to experience all you need to do to change "it" is to change the belief that caused "it" in the first place! In theory, it's really simple ... but in practice, many people find it difficult because they really don't understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway. But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when actually they are not. The power of belief is astounding. I encourage you to study its mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power to make. "Just Believe" © Copyright 2009 - David Neagle's Life Is Now Inc. for those who love entrepreneurs...

for those who love us....
"Slide into bed with an entrepreneur, and you wind up cuddling his/her business. At a certain point, the entrepreneur's spouse has to answer the question: Are you in or are you out? In for as long as it takes to succeed? In for what is potentially a lifetime of financial risk? Or out of patience, out of tolerance, out of your mind with stress and the bitterness of dreams deferred? The entrepreneur doesn't pose the question overtly, but the spouse does answer it, by giving or withholding support, warmth and encouragement-the manifestations of love." -Meg Cadoux Hirshberg, Balancing Marriage and Business: When your marriage is hitched to a business, life is one long test of allegiance from companyofprayer.com
Do you have a good, working and encouraging support system? Some of you may and I consider you blessed...for those of us who have none or have dysfunctional ones...I offer the following thoughts:

There are several essential ingredients of the entrepreneur work-from-home success formula:
  1. Support of your family, especially from your spouse or partner,
  2. Passion, passion, passion,
  3. Clear vision of business, and
  4. Are comfortable with risk.
A budding entrepreneur is often advised to remain flexible - these items are not. These are the non-negotiables. The ‘musts’ to succeed when things get rough and cash flow is small or non-existent. And at the top of the list is support from your family!

Deciding to make the leap to self-employment is never easy, especially if it involves leaving employment with benefits position. Add in the work-from-home element or the mother element, and it suddenly gets much harder.

Starting a business is stressful under the best of circumstances. Add being a mother to the mix is even more so. Trying to do it without the support and full buy-in from your spouse and other significant family members or friends, you’re almost guaranteed to struggle.

A lot has been written about what you need to succeed as a home-based entrepreneur. From my experience, as well as the many clients I have mentored through this process, getting a new business off the ground can be the most frustrating and lonely period of your life.

Even with burning passion, supreme confidence in the concept and a strong belief in the market potential, I often encountered huge resistance and sometimes laughter when I shared my ‘ground-breaking’ idea! During this laborious birthing process I had little or no support from my family and, in fact, a lot of my old friendships fell away.

Those who remained gave fleeting moments of support or a shoulder to cry on. But, the turning point came when I found a paid personal coach and an unpaid spiritual director who walked with me throughout the entire process and helped me transform into the successful spiritual businessperson I am today.

Those who are blessed enough to have an encouraging environment as they build and shape their business rarely realize their good fortune until much later. Mostly because they are so focused on creation, but also because they have a safe place to fall when everything seems ready to collapse, and it will.

Having people in your corner in the early stages of launching a business is both comforting and cost-effective. Don’t despair if you are launching alone. You can find a critical support team who will serve as the emotional backers and/or advisors you need. Hire a coach or find a mentor. Join organizations with like-minded people who will often be a cheerleader or expert for you if you return the favor. Or you can join or start a mastermind group. You can also hire experts, tech support and even a virtual assistant to free you to do what you do best…birth a business.
